Su-Anne Chen is an associate in the Corporate Department and the Entertainment and Media Practice Group of Samuel Seow Law Corporation.

Su-Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore in 2006 and was called to the Singapore Bar.


She spent her first two years of practice as an associate in the Corporate Department of one of the largest law firms in Singapore, where she focused mainly on property-related transactions. These include various en-bloc acquisitions, the leasing of commercial properties and real estate secured financing projects.

As an associate with Samuel Seow Law Corporation, her experience to-date includes the following:

  • Drafting and reviewing of shareholders agreements, game licensing agreements, game development agreements, leases, employment contracts, confidentiality agreements and artiste engagement contracts.

  • Assisting with the transfer of business assets, including the drafting of the business sale and purchase agreements.

  • Advising a game development company on intellectual property-related issues in the development of online games.

  • Assisting with the establishment of online businesses, including the drafting of terms and conditions governing the use of the online services as well as other relevant contracts relating to the businesses.

  • Drafting & advising on co-production and distribution agreements for film and television productions.

  • Advising on the franchise of a string of teaching centres utilising a proprietary teaching method including the drafting and reviewing of the licence agreement for the use of the trade marks and patents, franchise agreements, investment and subscription agreements and incorporation of the various companies.

  • Advising individuals and companies interested in registering corporate and other types of business entities in Singapore.

  • Drafting of employment contracts and advising on employment pass issues.

  • Rendering legal opinions for the purpose of securing errors and omission insurance coverage for film and television productions.

When time permits, Su-Anne would usually be found bonding with friends over a good meal or attempting to uncover her well-hidden talent in dance.
